> Friends of the Rising Sun Branch Library Friends of the Rising Sun Branch Library Who We Are The Friends is an organization made up of members who have a strong belief that good library service is an essential right. Our members are willing to take part in activities and programs to support and promote that service. The Friends of the Rising Sun Branch Library was organized in 1989 for the benefit of the Rising Sun Branch Library. Since then members have sponsored and worked at many activities, including Book/Bake and Yard sales. Funds from these sales are used to purchase books, CDs, DVDs, and computers. These gifts allow the Library to provide materials and services that far exceed what is possible through county tax dollars alone. Members volunteer their time and talents to work at booths during Sunfest and the Cecil County Fair. They are dedicated to promoting interests in the Library and getting people involved. Your efforts will assure that the Rising Sun Branch of the Cecil County Public Library will not only thrive, but be an inspiration to all. Annual Membership
