My Library, My Lifeline

Cecil County Public Library serves over half of Cecil County with 54,117 registered borrowers. We offer free, crucial services in times of need such as computer and job search classes, Resume Review services, top notch developmental programs for children, and access to information for every person in our community.

Just the Facts about CCPL

  • Cecil County Public Library offers free resources such as books, DVDs, CDs, audio books, databases, downloadable materials, computer use, small business information, and quality programs for all ages.
  • People seeking employment come to the library to complete job applications, write and send resumes, submit online applications, create email accounts, and attend classes. CCPL also offers a free Resume Review service.
  • Citizens in need can search health care information, community resources, receive tax assistance, and obtain necessary forms.
  • Last year, 531,293 customers visited our libraries.
  • CCPL checked out 1,050,893 materials to 55,942 registered borrowers.
  • Our Small Business Information Center consulted with local home-grown business owners and entrepreneurs over 1200 times last year.
  • Our librarians answered 86,839 questions.
  • Our summer reading program participants saw an increase of 18%, totaling over 5500 citizens.
  • Our bookmobile visited neighborhoods, community centers, schools, and other areas in need countywide.
  • In total, CCPL conducted 2704 educational programs for adults, teens, children, and entrepreneurs.
