Volunteer
Volunteering at the Cecil County Public Library is a great way to serve your community while meeting interesting people and having fun! We have opportunities at all seven CCPL Branches.
Volunteers enhance and enrich the capabilities of our library staff. Working under the supervision of the staff, volunteers provide valuable support and assistance. There are many types of volunteer jobs in the library. Some assist the circulation staff with shelving books and helping with the daily book delivery. Others may assist with shelf and periodical maintenance. Still, others help with special projects such as putting together a children's craft or mending materials.
Volunteers are an important extension of the library program, and all volunteer efforts increase the library staff's ability to provide the best possible service for patrons of the library.
Please print out a Volunteer Application and return it to: Volunteer Coordinator, 301 Newark Ave., Elkton, MD 21921.
You can also bring the form to your local branch.
Once you return the completed application, we will contact you and schedule an interview to discuss your interests and volunteer options.
What Volunteers Do
Help is needed with all kinds of tasks, some simple and some more technical. Volunteers can be found in many of the library’s departments throughout the system.
