What does a girl stuck playing out Grimm’s grizzliest fairy tales, an overweight boy who has been pushed to the brink by bullying, a hostage of the Gestapo, and the son of a serial killer have in common? They are all main characters in the books nominated for this year’s Teens’ Top Ten awards!
Book Hook, our teen book discussion group, was one of only sixteen in the nation chosen to serve as nominators for YALSA’s Teens’ Top Ten award. Teens’ Top Ten is the only book award completely chosen by teen readers. Once nominees are chosen, ALL teens in the nation can vote on the top ten. We are excited to encourage teens in our area to help narrow down the twenty-eight nominated titles to the top ten of 2013! Take a look at the following nominees list. If you are between the ages of 12 and 18, you can vote starting August 15th!
