Dear Science
TV On the Radio is a hard band to pin down. All in the same album, sometimes within the same song, they encompass elements of rock, R & B, rap, and electronic music. Dear Science is the band's third full length album, and perhaps their most cohesive. Despite their various influences, there is a very definitive sound that runs through each song, making the album flow smoothly from track to track. Unlike a lot of modern albums, each track has something to offer, instead of just being filler for whatever hit single they're trying to promote. Released in 2008, Dear Science received rave reviews, and was named #1 album of the year by Rolling Stone, Spin, and the Guardian. TV On the Radio is a band to check out if you're looking for a new sound that still contains elements of the music you love.

I love music of all types, but I've been having a hard time letting go of my favorites from yesteryear. This sounds like a great album to get me into some new grooves.
