Bread and Tulips

First Look Pictures

This charming movie was filmed in Venice in Italian (English subtitles) and is sure to put a smile on your face.  Rosalba, played by Licia Maglietta, is a wife and mother of two teenagers, on a bus tour vacation with her family.  When she is left behind at a rest-stop (and her family doesn't even notice), she decides to take her own vacation and ends up in Venice.  New friends and a job enable her to have a second chance at life and love.  Superbly filmed by Silvio Soldini, this film has it all - humor, love, scenery, and an excellent cast.

I have heard wonderful things about this film. I cannot wait to watch it.

This is a film I keep going back to watch again and again. Not only is it a visual treat, but the charming, folksy accordian music against the scenic backdrop of Venice is just enchanting. May you have bread and tulips in your life, too!
