Henry's Sisters
Henry's Sisters by Cathy Lamb is funny, heart-warming, poignant, and written with an ease that makes this book a fast read. The characters are involved in complicated family relationships and serious personal difficulties. Three sisters return to their home town to run the family business and to take care of Henry, the youngest brother with disabilities, while their mother is in the hospital for heart surgery. Reviving the bakery business is a challenge for the whole family, including the daughters of one of the sisters. Becoming reacquainted with an estranged father, realizing Henry's warmth and community connection, and helping each other in a variety of ways to cope with life's difficulties, makes this story engrossing until the end.
