Twitter Power: How to Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time
Yes, I admit it, I have a Twitter account and I am proud that I have 25 faithful followers! Just a few months ago, I had no idea what it meant to tweet and thought it was awfully creepy to have people follow you, and now I get excited every time I get a new follower! Thanks to Joel Comm's book, Twitter Power: How to Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time, I am beginning to grasp how to successfully use Twitter to its fullest potential. As the small business librarian, I am always interested in free and inexpensive ways that small business owners can market their products and services and Twitter is definitely one of those ways. The great thing about this book is that it starts with the basics of understanding the social medial landscape and then moves towards how to get started with a Twitter account. I had no idea that I could personalize my Twitter page to a design of my choosing, but Robbins shows you how to do just this very thing and even gives you tips and tricks for formatting. The first five chapters help you to set up your account and understand the basics of Twitter, but the second half of the book is dedicated to how small business owners can capitalize on this new form of social media. If you want to use Twitter to build your brand and learn words like Twitterfeed, Twellow, Twitterific, and TweetBeep, this book is for you!
