Panic: A Novel of Suspense

According to dictionary.com the word panic means "a sudden overwhelming fear with or without causes". Evan Casher did not seem to have any reason for feeling panic. He was a documentary filmmaker on the rise and had a new film that he was working on. He had a new girlfriend Carrie, whom he was really in love with, and saw a future for them together. Suddenly he receives a phone call from his mother ordering him to come home to Austin immediately. When Evan questions her for an explanation of what the emergency could possibly be, she offers no answer. A person's first thought would be something happened to his father, his mother is in the hospital or she has discovered she has some terminal disease. Evan rushes home to find his mother dead and two people trying to kill him. Casher's panic find him caught between the CIA, baiter traitor's, spies, and supposed friends of his mother and father. He also finds out that his parents are not the people he thinks they are. Maybe his entire life is a big lie. Panic is a page turning, suspenseful and gripping book. Just when you think you have figured out who the good guys are and who the bad guys are, you learn you are wrong. I enjoyed this book immensely.
