My husband purchased this cookbook for me several years ago, joking that it was really a gift for him so he could enjoy all the delicious food I made. At first, I was intimidated that it was published by Williams Sonoma, because I like (and need) to keep cooking simple. I was pleasantly surprised to discover a great resource of tried and true recipes that we look forward to making every year.
Our favorites we can't live without: Spicy Three Cheese Spread (fantastic make-ahead appetizer AND amazing on leftover turkey sandwiches); Classic Roast Turkey (features a delicious basting sauce made with tawny Port); and Pecan Pie (with coffee flavored liqueur). From cooking fundamentals for beginners to posh variations for seasoned pros, this book has it. Most recipes aren't too complicated, the results are mouthwatering and I end up giving out the recipes to friends and family each holiday. Full of gorgeous photographs, this cookbook is enticing to the eyes and appetite.
