When I'm looking to relax, I often turn to cozy mysteries for a quick, enjoyable read. I Scream, You Scream: A Mystery a la Mode is a new addition to the cozy genre that many readers will enjoy. The book features an intelligent and feisty Tallulah Jones, owner of the local ice cream shop and an amateur sleuth. She's recently divorced and her no-good ex-husband Wayne manipulates her into catering his company party because she's so desperate for money. When Wayne's new girlfriend suddenly turns up dead, Tallulah is the prime suspect and must prove her own innocence. The story features a delightful mix of small town secrets, romance and recipes, making for an entertaining light read.
