Shelly's sisters have all come out of their shells but Shelly is just not ready.  His sisters Adelaide, Miranda and Tallulah can all do amazing, wonderful things, but not Shelly.  He watches as they paint, skate, and dance, but only really has fun during "Shellytime."  He can do whatever he wants during this time, not what his sisters keep badgering him to do.  The illustrations are adorable and children can definitely relate to taking things at their own speed no matter what everyone around them is saying.
