Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk
This audio book is hilarious. Several of the animals, reptiles, amphibians and insects portrayed in these stories will remind you of people you know. I hope I am not one of them!
As a plus, the audio book is read by several people, among them, Elaine Stritch. Stritch's voice is perfect and adds to the stories she reads. I guarantee you will laugh at the first story of a baboon hair dresser fixing the hair of her customer the cat. It is a short book and I enjoyed it so much I listened to my favorite stories a second time. This book is guaranteed to make you smile and I recommend it to everyone wanting a good laugh, particularly if you enjoy dark, quirky humor.
The library also has the print version, which features delightful illustrations from Ian Falconer (writer/illustrator of the Olivia picture book series).

His audio may have been entertaining, I thought the book itself was not very good at all. Compared to his normal stories, very disappointed.
This is absolutely on my to-listen list...and I agree with Emily, with the right reader, especially when it's David himself, his writing gets even better...if that's possible. I'm looking forward to it. Great recommendation!
I was a little wary when I heard about David Sedaris' new book being short stories told from the perspective of animals, but I still enjoyed it, just not as much as his usual style. ;) Now that you mention it, I want to listen to the audio version (does David read any of it?). I have 'When You Are Engulfed in Flames' on audio and I love listening to him read his stories. The audio books make his writing 100x better, in my opinion.
