The Giver

It's a perfect world... no suffering, no pain, no colors, no hills... Each house is perfectly balanced and consists of two children, one girl, one boy, two parents. The children go to school and when they reach a certain age, they choose a job from a lottery. Seems like nothing in this world could go wrong. But that's not true. One child is given the job of "Receiver" and will become the "Giver" when the Giver passes away. The Receiver must take from the Giver the memories of the past world, including everything from war to rainbows, the good and the bad. But these pieces of the past are just the beginning to the new Receiver's life and an opening to a perfectly imperfect world.
