The name of this book says it all! This nonfiction tell-all is an outrageously funny book written by thriller novelist Lisa Scottoline. In addition to her fiction career, Miss Scottoline also writes for The Philadelphia Inquirer. This non-fiction book is a collection of her articles.

This book does not follow any particular timeline, but instead features adventures from her life. She delves into topics such as empty nest syndrome, the evilness of Spanx and even her first two husbands, which she has affectionately named "thing one" and "thing two". Can you see why I could not put this book down?

The title of this book actually caught my attention before I even realized Lisa Scottoline was the author. I first started reading her novels because they are incredible page turners. There is always a quick-witted heroine that just makes the book and to this day Look Again is one of my favorite novels and I recommend it to everyone.

As you may already have guessed, this book is very different from her thrillers. Miss Scottoline welcomes you into her crazy world with open arms. After even the first chapter I started to see many similarities between Scottoline and myself; she is extremely relatable. We both come from Italian families with pushy and very loving Italian mothers. We both have pets that have completely taken over our homes and most importantly we have both had experiences with the dreaded Spanx, which make us both think only a man could have invented them. Chapter after chapter, I felt like I was having a conversation with an old friend and I was actually sad to finish this book.

If you are looking for a light read to take on vacation this is definitely the book for you. This is very light-hearted and fun! Miss Scottoline and her antics will have you laughing all the way to the beach and back.
