Room is the story of a five-year-old child who has spent every day of his young life in one room. The room has no windows and he is not allowed to go outside. He tells of his life with his mother and his surroundings, where everything is of value to him, from a rug on the floor to his mother's abscessed tooth. He has a unique understanding of the world and the story is poignantly told through his eyes. It would be easy to spoil this book's thrilling plot by giving more details, so I recommend that you avoid reading reviews. Just know that this novel is strangely beautiful and sure to keep you turning pages to get to the end!
