Million Dollar Website
As the small business librarian, I frequently meet with entrepreneurs who know the importance of a website, and may even have a website, but struggle to get people to find their website. And no wonder--there is a site for everything these days. So how does a small business owner, on a limited budget, successfully find their customers on the Internet? Culwell's book, "Million Dollar Website: Simple Steps to Help You Compete with the Big Boys - Even on a Small Business Budget," answers that very question.
The book starts by identifying what makes a good website and the preceding chapters delve into topics such as defining your audience, creating a keyword list, understanding website stats, writing killer content, and more. Culwell gives advice on search engine optimization to help get your business to the top of the results. There is a great section in the book titled "Web Development Toolbox" detailing various websites that correspond with each chapter heading. These sites are designed to give real-world applications to the advice given in the preceding chapters. This book will arm you with what you need to create a killer website on your own!
