Goose: The Outrageous Life and Times of a Football Guy.
Calling all men who crave the outrageous, are a Baltimore Raven Fan or a fan of the DIY cable channel show Man Caves. I just read a book that you might really enjoy. Goose: The Outrageous Life & Times of a Football Guy is the autobiography of Tony Siragusa, a defensive tackle for the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens and presently a sideline reporter and analyst during NFL games for the Fox Network.
Goose was a member of the 2000 Baltimore Ravens defense that allowed the fewest total points in regular NFL season history. Siragusa and the defense helped lead the team to their first Super Bowl in franchise history, Super Bowl XXXV. Goose is a funny, funny guy. He gets into some crazy situations and I'd like to describe him as a modern day Stooge. His antics are very amusing and I think you will be laughing along with him.
On the lighter side, Goose is also a sensitive family man and the love of family has always been part of his persona. While growing up, Goose was always told by his coaches that he was good but not good enough to make it. He silenced his critics when he was signed by the Colts in 1990.
The book as summed up on the jacket, " A memoir that is guaranteed to make you laugh, cheer, shake your head, laugh some more and then think seriously, Siragusa offers stories, life lessons and perspective gained from his unbelievable collection of experiences."
