Affordable Care Act Information

The open enrollment period for acquiring health insurance through
the Maryland Health Connection is November 15, 2014 - February 15, 2015.

PLEASE NOTE:

Everyone that enrolled through Maryland Health Connection must reapply between November 15, 2014 through December 18, 2014 to continue receiving financial assistance in the new year. Health insurance plans have been redesigned and more have been added to the marketplace.  In addition, financial assistance guidelines have been increased, offering new options to those seeking health insurance.  If you do not reapply, your existing plan will be replaced with a similar plan from the new marketplace options, but you will not receive any financial assistance.

Unfortunately, scam sites are already popping up, trying to take advantage of people looking for health care plan information.  We recommend using the links on this page.

The Maryland Health Connection, also called an exchange, provides "apples-to-apples comparisons" of coverage options, as well as manages applications for Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).  This guide from the Maryland government provides helpful tips on how to prepare for enrollment.
