This award, from the Cecil County Branch of the NAACP - recognizes organization that are dedicated to the citizens and community service in Cecil County showing outstanding leadership and educational excellence and continued dedication and support of Cecil County students and community.
2015: National Medal Winner. Presented by Institute of Museum and Library Services. The nation's highest honor for libraries

The purpose of the Maryland Library Association President's Award is to recognize outstanding achievement in offering customer service and providing community leadership.
2012: Maryland State Chamber Non-Profit Partner in Business Award
CCPL won the 2012 Maryland State Chamber award for Non-Profit Partner in Business for transforming the community with outstanding work supporting small business success, providing skills and technology training for job seekers and career changers, and spearheading educational programs that lay the foundation for school success and graduation. CCPL is the first public library in Maryland to win this prestigious state award.
