Do you ever wish you could drive that new car for a couple of weeks before you decide to buy it, or try out the latest style before you commit to a new look? With a cook book from the library you can do just that!
Many cook books might sound good, until you get them home and try some of the recipes. Why shell-out good money on something you may never or rarely use?
One of the great things about working at the library is getting to see all of the new cook books which come out. I love to bake, and one of the books that caught my eye was Mrs. Rowe's Little Book of Southern Pies by Mollie Cox Bryan; known to her loyal customers as "The Pie Lady."
Inside you'll find recipes from Granny Smith Apple Pie to special occasion pies like German Chocolate and Grasshopper pies, as well as a whole section on refrigerator pies (perfect on a hot summer day); there is something for everyone.
